Bovada MatchPay: deposits and withdrawals at Bovada

Bovada gives MatchPay its own run of help pages: signing up, depositing, withdrawing, redepositing, best practices and reporting a problem. It is also the strictest of the MatchPay casinos about where you can play from, and it keeps MatchPay deposits away from its bonuses.

Does Bovada accept MatchPay?

Yes, for both deposits and withdrawals. Bovada’s deposit limits and withdrawal limits tables both carry a MatchPay row, and its help centre walks through each step. Once linked, your MatchPay credit balance shows under the withdrawable balance in your Bovada account, behind the profile icon.

One oddity: Bovada’s general pages on deposit methods and withdrawal methods do not mention MatchPay. The deposit page lists crypto, vouchers and cards, the withdrawal page crypto and vouchers, and the deposit page adds that methods “may vary from account to account depending on availability within your region.” Open the cashier to see whether MatchPay is offered on your account.

Bovada is the only MatchPay casino of the four with a sportsbook and horse racing next to its casino, live casino and poker room. This page covers the casino side.

How to deposit with MatchPay at Bovada

Bovada’s deposit page sets out the flow. The first time takes a few extra minutes because you create your MatchPay account inside the cashier:

  1. Profile icon, then Deposit, then MatchPay.The icon sits at the top of every page.
  2. First deposit only: Join Now.Create a case-sensitive MatchPay ID and password, verify your email and phone, then type that ID into the field on Bovada to link the accounts. The ID cannot be changed later.
  3. Create an Order.Log in to MatchPay. If your MatchPay credit does not cover the deposit, click “Create Order”, enter the amount, tick every payment app you have, and continue.
  4. A seller is matched.MatchPay notifies them by email or text and keeps cycling through matches until one responds.
  5. Pay, then let the seller confirm.Send the money to the handle in the trade chat. When the seller confirms receipt, both of you are told the trade is complete and the credit appears in your balance.

Bovada adds a few reminders on the same page:

  • Depending on your account status, MatchPay deposits may be limited to three attempts a day.
  • Zelle trades are processed only on business days. One made at a weekend or on a holiday goes through the next business day.
  • If MatchPay cannot find a match, you will be asked to add payment methods or change the amount.
  • Problems go first to the other player through the trade chat, then to MatchPay through “Report a Problem” or support@matchpay.app.

How to withdraw with MatchPay at Bovada

A MatchPay withdrawal at Bovada is a sale of your credit. Per Bovada’s withdrawal page, the amount comes off your Bovada balance as soon as you request it and, once approved, is held in reserve so you can create an Offer on MatchPay for all of it or part of it. You enter the amount, choose the apps you can be paid on, and wait for a buyer; when the money is really in your app, you confirm and the trade closes.

The rule that catches people out is frequency. You can receive at most two MatchPay withdrawals within 24 hours of your first request; a third request sits pending until those 24 hours are up. The withdrawal page lists only four apps for withdrawals (PayPal, Venmo, Zelle and Cash App), while Bovada’s other MatchPay pages also name Apple Pay and Chime.

MatchPay against Bovada’s other ways to cash out

The interesting comparison is not with other casinos but inside Bovada’s own cashier. Its withdrawal-limits page puts MatchPay alongside these options:

Bovada withdrawal options, as published on 4 October 2026
MethodPer withdrawalHow oftenStated time
MatchPay$10 to $2,0002 per calendar dayInstant
Voucher$10 to $3,000No limitInstant
Bitcoin (BTC)$75 to $9,5001 every 15 minutes, $90,000 weeklyUp to 24 hours after approval
Litecoin (LTC)$10 to $9,5001 every 15 minutes, $180,000 weekly1 hour after approval
Check by courier$250 to $3,0001 per 7 days10 to 15 business days
Bank wire$1,500 to $9,5001 per 30 days10 to 15 business days

Apart from vouchers, MatchPay is Bovada’s only instant way out that does not involve crypto, and the only one that pays into an app you already use. For anything larger, the two-a-day cap means $4,000 a day at most, and every dollar still depends on a buyer turning up. Bovada says it charges no MatchPay fee; its benefits page calls every MatchPay transaction “free.”

Bovada’s casino welcome bonus does not apply to MatchPay

Bovada’s MatchPay deposit page is explicit: “Bonuses are not available for MatchPay deposits unless otherwise specified in the bonus description, this includes our Welcome and Refer-a-Friend Bonuses.” For reference, this is what its Casino Welcome Bonus page offered on 4 October 2026:

Bovada Casino Welcome Bonus terms, as published
OfferMatchPlaythroughDeposit method
$3,750 Crypto Bonus125% up to $1,250 on each of the first three deposits25x (deposit + bonus) on the first; 50x on the next two“Only available by using accepted Crypto currencies”
$3,000 Welcome Bonus100% up to $1,000 on each of the first three deposits25x (deposit + bonus)Not MatchPay, per the MatchPay deposit page

Both carry the same conditions: bonus funds cannot be used on live dealer games, craps and live dealer play do not count towards the rollover, and Bovada “has the right to cancel or withdraw the Promotion or change any of its terms at any time and without cause or notice.” If a bonus matters to you, fund that deposit another way, or look at Ignition, which currently says MatchPay deposits qualify.

Where Bovada accepts players

Section 2.3 of Bovada’s terms of service prohibits use from 19 states and Washington, DC:

DE, MD, NJ, NV, NY, MI, CO, DC, CT, WV, OH, KS, PA, LA, MA, TN, AZ, NH, VT & RI

The same clause says any account accessed from a restricted state will have its access revoked and “any balance contained in the account may be considered void,” and that any attempt to get around the restrictions means the account is closed and the balance forfeited. Section 6.2 names VPNs and proxies specifically. Michigan is on the list; its Gaming Control Board sent a cease-and-desist letter in May 2024 to Bovada’s operator, describing Bovada.com and Bovada.lv as “illegal online gaming sites.”

Bovada’s footer says, word for word: “Bovada.lv is licensed and regulated by the Union of the Comoros and the Central Reserve Authority of Western Sahara.” That is not a licence from any US state, and being outside the restricted list does not make Bovada lawful where you live. Its terms set 18 as the minimum age; if your state sets 21 for gambling, 21 is your minimum.

Smaller rules worth knowing

  • Redepositing. Changed your mind about a withdrawal? If at least $20 sits in your MatchPay “Available Credit,” Bovada’s redeposit page says you can choose MatchPay as a deposit method and the amount is taken straight from that balance.
  • Wagering before withdrawing. Bovada’s withdrawal-fees page says all deposits must be wagered completely before winnings can be withdrawn, or the withdrawal may be cancelled.
  • Disputes. Bovada’s problem page says MatchPay support resolves trade problems “at the sole discretion of the MatchPay support team” in about 48 hours, and “all resolutions are final.” Bovada itself does not arbitrate.

Before you go to Bovada

Make sure your state is not on the list above, read your payment app’s terms, and set a budget you will not top up. The full MatchPay guide covers the trade clock and what to do if a trade stalls.
